Happy 3 Month Birthday, Emmy!

She's still not so sure about the sling...
I mean...don't you just want to eat her up?
Practicing for her first beach vacation.
We love bath time!

So every time I see my niece Julia (she's 4) she asks me "Is Emmy still zero?" And we reply, "Yep, she's going to be zero for a while, but we promise we'll let you know when she turn s 1." I guess a year must seem like an eternity to a kid, but gosh I can hardly believe how the older you get the faster time goes. Especially now that we have Emmy. Today she is 3 months old. 1/4 of the way to 1 year already. How in the world is that possible?

I guess that would make this our quarterly update to the blog. That's normal in the blogging world, isn't it? No. I know. We're total slackers. We had such high expectations that we'd keep up a blog to chronicle our journey into parenthood. Alas, we're off to a rather rocky start. However on a brighter note, we have WAY surpassed our picure taking expectations. Our sweet little Emmeline might just be the most well documented baby of all time. Is there an award for that? We have somewhere in the neighborhood of 1,200 pictures of her. And seeing as how she's only 12 weeks old...that comes out to just about 100 pictures a week. But it's not like we can help it, because it also just so happens that she's the most beautiful baby of all time. We must look at each other and say "She's SO cute!" at least 1,000 times per day. And surely we're not biased in any way.

AND as if her 3 month birthday wasn't enough of a reason to finally post something on our blog, we have something else to celebrate today...Emmy rolled over for the first time this morning! See! She's growing up so fast! But it's so fun! I don't think she had any idea that she did it, and I'm pretty sure that she used Dixie (the dog) to push off of a little, but I still think that counts! And besides training for the Olympic Rolling Over Team, she also likes to spend her time smiling and chatting about just anything and everything including her adventures as Super Baby (she loves when we hold her up in the air and she'll kick her legs straight out behind her as if she's flying through the air to save the day...anyone know where we can get a baby cape?). Who knew babies were so much fun?!
So Happy 0.25 Year Birthday, Emmy! And hopefully we'll manage to get another post up before your 0.5 Year Birthday in October. :)
